Nickelodeon's World's Biggest Online Baby Shower - Standing Room Only!
Being asked to host the World's Biggest Online Baby Shower was an honor for me.
And we did it! It was history in the making, thanks to all of you! There were over 4,000 RSVPs and on the day of the event (Dec 16th), it was standing room only. Bride-to-Be Bling Necklaces and More!
I just got off the phone with Jenny D from Ohio. One of the reasons at times I enjoy working late after everyone has called it a day, is I get to be the one to answer the phones and connect with our clients, our new friends.Jenny is in charge of throwing both a bridal shower for 100 people as well as a bachelorette party. As we talked about her events, one that will be held on an island, she shared some ideas of what she wants to do and some of what she most definitely does not want to do, such as the lifesavers on a t-shirt game. You know the one I'm talking about -- where guys give the bachelorette a dollar for each candy they are able to remove from her t-shirt? And I believe the rules are that no hands are allowed.
There are varying degrees of fun, laughter, enjoyment and no one can say what is right or wrong or good or bad. It's just a matter of taste and what suits the Bride-to-Be and the hostess who is in charge of providing the atmosphere of love, fun, spirit and enjoyment for her and her guests. No judgment - just a question to ask oneself: What would the Bride want to have at her event? And better yet, actually ask the Bride herself! Sit down and talk with her. I digress.
Jenny expressed that she wanted to have classy games, interactive fun that involved her guests and being sure that it was something that she was able to play out on the town with her girlfriends, in honor of the bachelorette. As we continue to receive new products we don't have everything up on our site, but we work to get them there. I was able to describe one of our newer buttons to her: The 5-button Bachelorette Party Buttons Pack. She liked it so it met her needs. That's what we want to do. Meet our friends' needs.
She later shared that the couple will be married in Las Vegas. A destination wedding! We love destination weddings! Jenny wanted to have some beads for her bachelorette party. I shared with her a site with some dice beads (Viva Las Vegas!) or neon beads, glow in the dark beads, themed beads, bling ring beads, special occasion beads.... Why, there is even a beaded necklace with a shotglass at the end just for the bachelorette on the loose.

You can incorporate toys into big brother and big sister showers when welcoming the new baby. Or, have them at your birthday party celebrations! Truth be told, I started out this post of how being a mom, business owner / entrepreneur and wife feels many days. So there you have it. Stretched to the limit! But, with love.
