Oh good! Glad the US measurement system won't get in the way of your cooking success. Let us know how the treats turn out!

Well Lura...I refer to use cups measurements.
Anyway, thanks to you and Kristy.

That sounds delicious Kristy, please send some right over!

Also, here's a great cherry chocolate cake from TheShowerDiva.com called Cousin Candy's Chocolate-Covered Cherry Cake.

Also, Habsah, here's a chart for converting our U.S. measurements to more world-friendly metrics: Measurement Conversion Chart. For some reason, our country just can't get with the rest of the world on measurments!!

I have a couple of great chocolate cake recipes you can try! Here is one of my favorites. I also have one that uses a boxed mix that turns out very well and might be a bit easier - let me know if you would like me to post that one, too! And please give me a shout if you have any questions :-)

Awesome Chocolate Cake

* 2 cups sugar
* 1 3/4 cups flour
* 3/4 cup baking cocoa (dutch process or dark cocoa preferably)
* 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
* 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
* 1 teaspoon salt
* 2 eggs
* 1 cup milk
* 1/2 cup vegetable oil
* 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
* 3/4-1 cup boiling water (see note below)

Directions

1.Heat oven to 350°F.
2.Grease and flour two 9 inch round baking pans or one 13x9 inch pan.
3.In large mixer bowl, stir together dry ingredients.
4.Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla; beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
5.Stir in boiling water by hand (batter will be thin).
6.Pour into prepared pan.
7.Bake 30 to 35 minutes for round 9-inch pans, 35 to 40 minutes for rectangular pan or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. (Do not use 8-inch pans or the batter will overflow.).
8.Cool 10 minutes; remove from pan to wire racks.

Well, my sister has decided that she wants a cupcake tower for her wedding. My aunt will be making them. I hope they are as good as they look!

Thanks ladies!! The cakes were so much fun to make and both my girls oooh'ed and aaah'ed over them - it was great!

Meranda, about the hair...the small ones had hair that was in quite the updo so I didn't have to worry about them. The large one I had to put her hair in a ponytail. The actual article has a picture of Katie blowing out her candles and you can see the ponytail (http://www.thewickednoodle.com/?p=2589).
